Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected in connection with the official website for the motion picture THE POOLS (the "Film"), together with any related microsites, landing pages, and registered domains operated on the Film's behalf (collectively, the "Website"). The Website is operated by Rebel Raider Media, together with its affiliate Octane Multimedia and the production entities affiliated with the Film (collectively, "we," "us," "our," or the "Company"). We respect the privacy of every person who visits the Website ("you" or a "Visitor") and have prepared this Policy to describe our practices in clear and complete terms.

By accessing or using the Website, subscribing to our newsletter, or otherwise providing information to us through the Website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Website.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to information collected through the Website and through related electronic communications, including newsletter sign-ups, contact forms, and email correspondence directed to the addresses published on the Website. It does not apply to information collected offline, to information collected by third-party platforms that maintain their own privacy practices (such as social media networks, ticketing vendors, streaming services, or merchandise fulfillment partners), or to any website, service, or application that does not display or link to this Policy. Where the Website embeds or links to third-party services, those services are governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three principal ways: information you provide to us voluntarily, information collected automatically through technology when you use the Website, and information we receive from third-party services that you choose to interact with.

2.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily

We collect the information you choose to give us. Depending on how you interact with the Website, this may include:

  • Your email address, when you subscribe to our newsletter or mailing list;
  • Your name, email address, and the contents of any message you send through a contact form or to an email address published on the Website;
  • Any information contained in materials you voluntarily submit to us, including comments, questions, feedback, or other communications;
  • In the future, if the Website offers merchandise, tickets, events, sweepstakes, contests, or digital downloads, the information reasonably necessary to fulfill those transactions or entries, which may include billing, shipping, and contact details processed by our payment and fulfillment service providers.

You are not required to provide this information, but if you choose not to, we may be unable to deliver the newsletter, respond to your message, or provide a feature you have requested.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Website, certain information is collected automatically through cookies, pixels, server logs, and similar technologies. This information may include:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address and general geographic location inferred from it;
  • Browser type and version, operating system, and device type and identifiers;
  • Referring and exit pages, pages and assets viewed, links clicked, search terms entered, and the dates and times of your visits;
  • Interactions with embedded media, such as whether a trailer was played, paused, or completed;
  • Aggregate and statistical data about traffic to and usage of the Website.

A detailed description of the cookies and tracking technologies we use, and the choices available to you, is set out in our Cookie Policy, which forms part of and should be read together with this Privacy Policy.

2.3 Information From Third-Party Services

The Website may incorporate embedded content and integrations from third parties, including video players (such as YouTube and Vimeo), analytics providers (such as Google Analytics), advertising and measurement technologies (such as the Meta Pixel), and social media platforms. When you interact with this embedded content, or arrive at the Website by clicking a link on a social platform, the relevant third party may collect information about you in accordance with its own privacy policy and may share certain information with us, such as aggregate engagement metrics. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the independent data practices of these third parties.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for legitimate business purposes connected to operating the Website and promoting the Film, including to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Website and its features;
  • Deliver our newsletter and other communications you have requested, including production updates, trailers, release announcements, behind-the-scenes content, contests, and merchandise announcements;
  • Respond to your inquiries, comments, and requests;
  • Understand how Visitors use the Website through analytics and measurement, and to evaluate the effectiveness of our promotional and marketing campaigns;
  • Personalize and enhance your experience, including by remembering your preferences;
  • Administer and fulfill any future merchandise sales, ticketing, events, sweepstakes, contests, or digital downloads offered through the Website;
  • Detect, prevent, investigate, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful or unlawful activity;
  • Comply with applicable law, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect our rights, property, and safety and those of our Visitors and others.

4. Newsletter and Email Communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you may receive communications relating to the Film and to our broader creative activities, including production updates, trailers, release announcements, behind-the-scenes content, contests, merchandise announcements, and information about future films, future productions, future releases, and future newsletters from Rebel Raider Media, Octane Multimedia, and their affiliated production entities.

We do not sell subscriber information. We never sell, rent, or trade your email address or other subscriber information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Subscriber information may be shared only with the service providers necessary to operate the newsletter and the Website—for example, our email delivery provider, hosting provider, and analytics provider—and only to the extent required for them to perform services on our behalf under obligations of confidentiality.

You may unsubscribe at any time. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may also contact us at the address below to be removed from our mailing list. We will honor opt-out requests promptly. Please note that even after you unsubscribe from marketing communications, we may still send you non-promotional messages relating to a transaction you have initiated, such as an order confirmation.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Website, remember your preferences, measure traffic and engagement, and support our promotional efforts. Among the technologies the Website may use are Google Analytics, YouTube and Vimeo video embeds, the Meta Pixel, and social media embeds and share tools. The specific categories of cookies, the purposes they serve, their typical duration, and the tools available to manage them are described in detail in our Cookie Policy. Your choices regarding cookies, including any consent management tool presented on the Website, govern how these technologies operate during your visit.

6. How We Disclose Information

We disclose information only in the limited circumstances described below. We do not sell your personal information.

Service Providers. We share information with vendors and service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as website hosting, email delivery, analytics, content delivery, security, customer support, and—where applicable in the future—payment processing and merchandise or ticket fulfillment. These providers are authorized to use information only as necessary to provide services to us.

Legal and Protective Disclosures. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements; to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our Visitors, or the public.

Business Transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, or in the development, financing, or distribution of the Film, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to customary confidentiality protections and to this Policy.

With Your Direction. We may share information at your direction or with your consent, such as when you choose to share content through a social media integration.

7. Third-Party Services and Embedded Content

The Website includes content, features, and links provided by third parties, including embedded trailers and videos, social media tools, analytics, and advertising technologies. These third parties may set their own cookies, collect information directly from you, and operate under their own privacy policies and terms. We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content or their privacy and security practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service before providing information to it.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to operate the Website, deliver communications you have requested, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Newsletter subscriber information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, after which we will remove or de-identify it within a commercially reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate recordkeeping. Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you may be retained and used indefinitely.

9. Data Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, and we require our service providers to do the same. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is, however, completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security, and any transmission of information to us is at your own risk.

10. Children's Privacy

The Website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13). Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen. If you are under thirteen, please do not use the Website or provide any information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under thirteen without verifiable parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information promptly. A parent or guardian who believes that a child under thirteen may have provided personal information to us may contact us at the address below to request its review and deletion.

11. Your Privacy Choices

You have meaningful choices about your information:

  • Newsletter: You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email or by contacting us.
  • Cookies: You may manage cookies through your browser settings and, where offered, through the consent tool on the Website, as described in our Cookie Policy.
  • Analytics: You may opt out of certain analytics collection using tools made available by the relevant providers, such as the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Access and Deletion: Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the address below.

12. California Privacy Rights

This section applies to residents of California and supplements the information above, consistent with the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"). In the preceding twelve months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email address, and IP address); internet or other electronic network activity information (such as browsing and interaction data); geolocation data inferred from IP address; and the contents of communications you voluntarily send to us. We collect this information for the business and commercial purposes described in Section 3, and we disclose it to the categories of recipients described in Section 6.

No Sale or Sharing. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

Subject to the CCPA/CPRA and its exceptions, California residents have the right to: (i) know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected; (ii) request deletion of personal information we have collected; (iii) request correction of inaccurate personal information; and (iv) not be subject to discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 18. We will verify your request by reasonable means before responding, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under sixteen years of age.

13. International Visitors (GDPR and UK GDPR)

The Website is operated from the United States, and the information we collect is processed and stored in the United States and in other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. If you access the Website from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a country whose data protection laws may differ from those of your country.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following additional information applies. The Company acts as a controller of your personal data for the purposes described in this Policy. We process personal data on the following legal bases: your consent (for example, when you subscribe to the newsletter or accept non-essential cookies); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and promoting the Website and the Film, balanced against your rights; and compliance with our legal obligations. Subject to applicable law, you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it as described in this Policy. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 18.

14. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") signal. Because there is not yet a common industry or legal standard for recognizing and responding to DNT signals, the Website does not currently respond to them. We will continue to monitor developments in this area and may update our practices accordingly.

15. Prohibition on Use of Information for Artificial Intelligence Training

We do not consent to, and we expressly prohibit, the use of any personal information collected through the Website, or any content, materials, or intellectual property appearing on the Website, to develop, train, fine-tune, evaluate, or improve any artificial intelligence system, machine learning model, large language model, generative artificial intelligence system, dataset, or similar technology, whether by automated means, scraping, harvesting, or otherwise, without our prior express written permission. This prohibition is in addition to the broader restrictions set out in our Terms of Use and Press & Media Asset License and is intended to protect both the privacy of our Visitors and the rights of the Company in its creative works.

16. External Links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, applications, and services that we do not own or control. We provide these links for convenience and do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or security of any third-party destination. Once you leave the Website, this Privacy Policy no longer applies, and you should review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will revise the "Effective Date" above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Website after an updated Policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
